The consultancy company Boston Consulting Group (BCG) recently published the results of a study conducted on 7% of its own employees. The conclusion is that consultants using GPT-4 AI on average:
- completed 12.2% more tasks
- completed tasks 25.1% faster
- produced results of 40% higher quality.
The study also showed that consultants who were uncritically using AI on tasks where AI is not suitable provided worse than those who did not using AI. The consultants who moved back and forth between AI and human work in ways that combined the forces of both delivered best.
