Online trade is increasing: we are betting with 5 new employees

During the first 2 weeks of the Korona crisis, we lost 20% of the turnover. We have, however, come through the crisis, and are now making too much effort by employing four new operational market assistants (OMA) in full time and a front-end developer.

Five employees from Inevo

The Korona crisis was putting its mark on good and bad. Some have had to leave employees and pause planned market activities, while others have experienced surprisingly good growth. We have worked in the demanding situation to maintain and secure new market shares for our customers.

The work has resulted in a growth in the sales of customers and increasing demand for digital heads. With the aim of strengthening the professional environment and removing demand, this resulted in five new jobs: four Operational Market Assistants (OMA) and a front-end developer in full time.

To us, it is important to have a team that is dynamic and responsive. We believe that the ability to acquire knowledge and quickly transform knowledge into action is the ultimate competitive advantage. – Karl Philip Lund, Partner in INEVO

All new employments come from school but were employed as part-time operational market assistants during the course of the study. Since June last year, the five have worked in INEVO and demonstrated very good ability to acquire knowledge quickly.

Here are information about the new employment and what they are working on:

  • Karoline Thon – Operational Market Assistant at Musti – the Nordics largest pet shop chain. Karoline was rolled in as an assistant to the market manager in Musti after another OMA from INEVO wanted new challenges internally. Karoline is currently acting as an operational market assistant for Musti where she works to create growth and results in social media, both through advertising and organic activity. She contributes to the implementation and optimisation of all-way-on campaigns, monthly campaigns, daily/weekly activities in SoMe and the opening of new shops. Karoline works closely with market manager and e-commerce manager and assists where there is a need to make everyday life easier for those who work internally. This sometimes involves both e-mail marketing, graphic work and SEO. Karoline took over the responsibility for Instagram at startup to free the market manager and since then has worked actively and strategically to increase the follow-up mass, which is currently almost doubled.
  • Marius Schaffererer – Operational Market Assistant at Topcamp – Marius has worked at Topcamp two days a week for about 1 year next to the studies. He has set up everything necessary for advertising in Google Ads and Facebook, including tracking on these platforms. From day to day, much of the time goes by to maintain and create new ads. Besides this, he has worked with Snapchat, organic visibility in social media, newsletters and general advice. In the future he will work with new websites and booking platforms
  • Oscar Løvås – Operational Market Assistant at Skintific AS which is one of Norway's leading quality suppliers of products for the skin care and cosmetic industry. Oscar started in Skintific after a need for digital competence. Today Oscar works in the office of Skøen one day a week, where he stands for Facebook and Google Ads advertising for 6 different brands (Dermalogica, IKOU, Jane iredale, Skintific Ski and Advanced Nutrition Programme).
  • Julie Melby Foss – Operational Market Assistant at Elle Basic. Julie is sitting at Elle Basic in Nydalen, where she works with the online shop Icon Beauty. The online store has started from June and sells products made from some of Norway's largest profiles, including Camilla Pihl, Sophie Elise and Amalie Olsen. Here, Julie is responsible for most of digital visibility. Some of the main tasks are to keep a hold on social media, both paid and organic, have full responsibility for automated emails and newsletters and Google Ads advertising. Previously, Julie worked with Ramsøskar Interior Architects, where she set as an operational market assistant one day a week for a little over 1 year until today. Now she is mostly holding in regular newsletters and assisting on social media, while the main responsibility for social media and Google Ads is distributed to other INEVO employees.
  • Sander Kaasa – As a front-end developer Sander combines marketing, development and design for customers who want a clear presence on networks with good user experiences. Sander has helped several websites across the WordPress platform and works daily with React for more advanced web applications.
My main focus area when we create a new solution is that the solution should have a functional design. It is important to have a well-established purpose in the solution, we not only create a website, but work to achieve a desired common goal that the website can help to fulfil. This means that the website is carefully planned and not randomly structured.  Sander Kaasa, front-end developer in INEVO

Over years, we have worked on the OMA model (operational market assistants) and have seen that the way it works creates success stories for both companies and young talent.

We find nice people with the right attitude, and give them and our customers access to one of the best digital professional environments in Norway. In this way, we create good digital generalists with access to good specialists  Frode Vik, Managing Director of INEVO
