Google tests out video carousels instead of traditional site connections for selected Google Ads users. The format shows each site link with a relevant image from the advertiser's website, plus a brief description. Users can swing through the picture carousel.

Beta tests in the United States have been successful. Visual site links have currently been extended to advertisers throughout the English-speaking world. It has not been made available in Norway yet.
Nice to know on visual sites:
- You start with 4 images in 16:9 format, which should be supported with the appropriate title and description.
- The use of logos shall be prohibited. The images shall be as generic as possible.
- Text is not allowed over the images. The purpose is to use the title and description to explain what the picture is about and what is hiding behind a click.
- You cannot add any more images to one image. Only one image per visual sitelink.
- Sensitive topics, such as alcohol, medicines and content that are not appropriate, are still not suitable to expose in relation to Google guidelines.
- It is only allowed with environmental images, i.e. not images with a white background.
- Finally - make sure the images you are using are of high quality. It improves user experience!
What is the advantage of Visual Sitelinks?
In 2013, Google rejected image extensions that might look like visual site links. You can still imagine that visual site links have a better chance than image extensions. Beta esters have reported good results (up to 50% increase in CTR).
The extension can be perfect for fires that depend on the aesthetic value of their products or services. This is because visual site links will give them a golden opportunity to present their products or services in a visual way, which in many cases is more optimal than text. Pictures say as you know more than a thousand words, and visual site links can help to increase your relevance to potential customers.
What should you as an advertiser do?
If visual site links become part of Google Ads for everyone, you have to consider more carefully what images are being used to relate to the products you advertise. This because there will be an increased focus on the image ability to create engagementSo let's say that this is the same thing as that. It is important to prepare for visual site links to come, and this is something that is affordable for most people. For those who do not prepare, visual sitelinks can be used to help people find problems, especially for online shops that lack a part or have poor product images. If you are an advertiser for a webshop with poor product images, we recommend that the webshop do not delay upgrading of their images. If you have good images that create engagement, visual site links will contribute to better results. Just like other extensions, visual sitelinks will lead to your ad taking up bigger space, which gives you more visibility. This may increase the probability of multiple conversions through increased CTR.
The extension will be super for fires that depend on the aesthetic value of their products. This is because visual site links will give them a golden opportunity to present their products in a visual way, which in their case is more optimal than text.
Pictures say as you know more than a thousand words, and visual site links can help to increase your relevance to potential customers.
It is important to mention that visual sitelinks are of course optional to use. You should have a plan with it if you put it into use, beyond that it makes the ads more visible.
Think all the way about the potential customer experiencing relevance!
